WEBSITES
that convert
Your website needs to be clear, fast, and easy to take action on.
This corner of the blog is all about turning your website into a reliable “front door” for inquiries: the right pages, the right wording, the right calls-to-action, and the behind-the-scenes basics that make sure quote requests actually land where they’re supposed to.
These posts are written for BC trades and local service businesses (Victoria, Vancouver Island, and across BC) who want a site that supports referrals, Google visibility, and paid campaigns, and helps the right people quickly understand what you do, trust you, and reach out.
Clarity and confidence. A converting site quickly answers: What do you do? Who is it for? Why should I trust you? What do I do next? Add strong visuals, simple navigation, and clear contact options, especially on mobile.
Usually: Home, Services (separate pages for key services), About, Contact, and a Proof page (reviews/projects/case studies). If you’re hiring, add a Careers page too.
Sometimes. If your market has a lot of “price shopping,” sharing starting rates, ranges, or “what affects cost” can attract better-fit inquiries and reduce back-and-forth. For more custom work, a “how we quote” section can work well.
Make the phone number easy to tap, keep paragraphs short, keep the main CTA visible, compress images, and avoid clutter. Many local service customers in BC browse on phones—mobile is the real first impression.
You don’t need all three. Most businesses do well with: phone + form + a simple “what happens next” section. Booking links are great if your process is standardized; chat can help if you’re staffed to respond quickly, or if an AI can do the job well.
Improve one service page first: tighten the headline, add proof (photos/reviews), make the next step obvious, and simplify the form. One strong page can lift your inquiries fast if the time is not right for a full redesign.
